My Daily Bread – Got.Training? Got.Transformation? Training for Life. Training leads to transformation. As we ask the HOLY SPIRIT to transform us, moment by moment, we leave our old selves behind. I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest . . . I myself should become disqualified. But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: let them also that LOVE thy name be joyful in Thee. For Thou, LORD wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt Thou compass him as with a shield. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in CHRIST JESUS. For the law of the SPIRIT of life has set you free in CHRIST JESUS from the law of sin and death.

Family Bible – GOD FATHER LOVE SON LORD CHRIST JESUS HOLY SPIRIT

Can you imagine what it would feel like to be a criminal found guilty of a terrible crime and condemned to life in prison? What if you were condemned by something worse – the death penalty? While serious crimes do demand serious consequences, it is easy for us to forget that we were all once spiritually condemned by our sin to much worse consequences.

In this verse Paul reminds us that if we have faith in CHRIST though, we no longer stand condemned! Our new life in CHRIST JESUS means we have been saved from sins guilt and sins eternal consequences. Because the HOLY SPIRIT dwells within us, we are united to the FATHER through the presence of CHRIST. As a result we no longer need to fear condemnation, because when the FATHER looks at us He sees the righteousness of CHRIST!

We no longer need to fear GOD as one who will judge us but rather as one who LOVES us and has even adopted us as His own children. Biblical fear indicates reverence for our loving FATHER and eradicates any worry that He will condemn us. Thank GOD for the gift of forgiveness that welcomes us into GOD’s family as children and heirs of all the benefits that come through faith in JESUS!

Family Bible –

Psalm 5 is a song of lament, in which David is particularly grieved by the evil speech of those who reject GOD. The contrast between evil speech that doubts GOD and righteous speech that honors and respects GOD is a key theme. Whereas the dishonest person rebels against GOD (verse 6), this verse teaches that the faithful person seeks GOD’s protection. GOD is a source of refuge and protection for those who trust His name. It is easy to feel vulnerable in this present life. The reality, though, is that we have nothing to fear for GOD is always with us holding us in His hands. He is our protector and worthy of our trust. As you pray, thank GOD for His loving care, and ask for the ability to trust Him in all circumstances.
