Reject Apathy. Those who walk with GOD won’t run from the needs of others.
Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
2 Timothy 2:15
Do your best to present yourself to GOD as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 KJV
Family Bible –
Imagine for just a moment how the people of Israel felt when they were freed from slavery in Egypt. Now remember that we ourselves have been freed from the slavery of sin and given the gift of eternal life. How should that shape the way we feel? Isaiah 40 marks the turning point in the book of Isaiah, as the prophecy transitions from judgment to restoration. This verse is the climax of the chapter, as Isaiah outlines the basic hope available to those who place their trust in the MESSIAH. The language implies that GOD not only will free His people from their oppression, but that He will strengthen and empower us as well. Where do you find your strength? As you pray, consider that GOD is the only true source of hope, strength and power. Give Him thanks that he has promised to renew us in this way, and ask Him for the faith to trust Him to fulfill His promise.
